DeWhite Vanman is my nom de plume as author of "The % of Doom" which is currently being written exposing some of the little known facts associated with the financial crisis, based on personal experiences and actions taken prior to the financial crash being acknowledged.
I am 69 years of age, based in the United Kingdom and it is my intention to express my opinions on what I consider to be the obvious, on various subjects associated with the political situation and its consequences effecting my generation and the generations to follow such as to encourage open debate via my blog.
It is February 2015 and at the age of 69 (A Single Voice of Grey) it is my intention to take advantage of today’s modern technology and publish a series of observational comment based on personal experiences and common sense, or nonsense, only the reader can decide.
The philosophy is based on a story told to me by my Father when I was a teenager all those years ago and it goes as follows.
Bryant and May who manufacture Swan Vesta matches had a competition for the work force, offering a prize for anyone who could suggest a way to reduce manufacturing costs.
One worker asked “why do you need sandpaper on both sides of the box?”
As any modern self respecting Meer Kat would say “Simple”
We seem to live in an era when matters are unduly complicated by never ending statistics and the inevitable political correctness stifling freedom of speech.
With a General Election approaching my prime objective is to encourage open debate and convince every eligible voter to vote. How you vote is up to you, but please vote as you not only owe it to yourself but to the generations to follow. No excuses such as they are all the same, I don’t believe them anyway or it’s just a wasted vote and a waste of time.
If you are not satisfied or convinced by any of your potential candidates simply spoil your voting paper with a single large cross and your dissatisfaction is registered.
It is claimed we are currently commemorating 650 years of British Democracy and you would think we would have it right by now. Time after time we are governed by career politicians seeking power and prestige and I am personally of the opinion the British People have been saddled far too long with the concept of two major party politics.
It seems the opposition when not filling out their claims for expenses, sit there twiddling their thumbs if not playing candy crush, whilst those in power blame the previous government for all the problems. So it goes on back and forth with the continuous exchange of brick bats.
Since the signing of the Magna Carter there is one thing that has not changed and it is best demonstrated by the chorus of an old Rugby Song:
“It’s the rich wot gets the pleasure
It’s the poor wot gets the pain
It’s the same the whole world over
Ain’t it all a crying shame.”
The procedures for an election come under “The Representation of The Peoples Act” and you would be forgiven for thinking they are there as your personal representative but no, once in power they are subject to the party whip determined by the elite.
Policies have become increasingly divisive between the very rich and the common man and it is long overdue for true democracy to come to the fore and if this means a conglomerate of the smaller parties, would it be such a bad thing?
I present my observations and comments, please enjoy, consider and form your own opinions and act accordingly, don’t whinge “VOTE”
